Job Description

We are working on behalf of a fast-growing maker of High Power Amplifiers for Defense and Wireless Infrastructure markets. They have a large defense program in-house, and the prospect of several more in the pipeline. They are based in Bergen County, New Jersey.

They are looking for a

VP of Business Development

who will maintain and create new business opportunities working with a product portfolio of High Power Amplifier Racks and Systems, Power Amplifier Modules, and High RF Power Filters for EW, Radar and other defense systems.

  • The ideal candidate will have a BSEE or higher with at least 10 years of industry experience in RF Engineering.
  • The company prefers someone who came from a discipline like Design and transitioned into Business Development in the last 5\+ years.
  • This person will be diverse in Radar, Communications, Navigation, EW, and Instrumentation markets and will cover US and European territories.
  • We need someone engaging, with excellent people skills who can spend 40-50% of the time in office maintaining current business, as well as 40-50% of the time traveling and creating new business.
  • Must have a strong understanding of procurement practices, as well as use of MIL and other government standards.
  • Reports to CEO.
  • No initial reports, but will eventually start his/her own group to lead.
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • Prefers someone onsite, but can have a hybrid situation as long as the VP is in office 40% of time; other 50% travel required.
