Role Description

As a Blockchain Developer at Only High IQ, you will design, develop, and maintain blockchain-based applications and smart contracts that power our innovative platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, architect secure and scalable solutions, and implement back-end services that integrate with blockchain networks. On a day-to-day basis, you will write clean and efficient code, review peer implementations, perform testing and debugging, and contribute to technical documentation and best practices. You will also conduct research on new blockchain protocols, cryptographic techniques, and emerging tools to continuously improve our products. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Porto, with a mix of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency technologies, including experience with smart contracts, distributed ledgers, wallets (on-chain transactions and USDC payments), and relevant ecosystems (e.g., Ethereum, EVM-compatible chains, or similar).
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, using one or more modern programming languages (such as Solidity, Rust, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python).
• Solid understanding of Cryptography principles, including public-key cryptography, hashing, digital signatures, and secure protocol design as applied to blockchain systems.
• Ability to design, build, and optimize APIs, microservices, and data models that integrate blockchain functionality with web applications and other services.
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD practices, testing frameworks, and agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, with attention to security, performance, and reliability.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with DeFi, token standards (e.g., ERC-20, ERC-721), or Web3 tooling is a plus.
• Interest in continuous learning and staying current with blockchain, cryptography, and software engineering best practices.
