Director, Data and AI Enablement (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Director Data And AI Enablement (remote) to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace \& Defense space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Aerospace \& Defense environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $186,200 – $353,800 annually

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the strategy for data and AI engineering to support business outcomes
• Oversee the lifecycle of data and AI enablement from diverse sources through to operational insights
• Lead global data architecture, engineering, and operational integration teams
• Manage AI capabilities including MLOps and ensuring compliance with security standards
• Standardize and converge data and AI capabilities for enterprise-wide use
• Ensure service reliability and operational excellence across data and AI functions
• Collaborate with business units to support digital transformation initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field with 14\+ years of experience; OR an advanced degree with 12\+ years of experience in data capabilities and operations
• Experience leading global engineering organizations
• Expertise in cloud-based data environments such as Databricks and Snowflake
• Experience with AI capabilities and MLOps pipelines
• Strong understanding of data architecture and operational frameworks
