Key Skills and Experience Required

• Comfortable working in an IC role, hands-on with Enterprise Data Platform as a Service (DPaaS) Architecture
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Modern Cloud Data Ecosystems
• Enterprise Semantic Layer Architecture and Self-Service Data Platforms

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the enterprise Data Platform as a Service (DPaaS) strategy, enabling scalable, governed, and reusable data capabilities across the organization.
• Design modern cloud-native data platforms supporting enterprise analytics, AI/ML, operational reporting, and domain-oriented data products.
• Define reusable architecture patterns for enterprise data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, serving, and self-service consumption.
• Design and implement an enterprise semantic layer supporting governed business metrics, reusable data models, consistent KPI definitions, and conversational analytics.
• Partner with business leaders, product owners, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to translate business objectives into scalable enterprise data platform solutions.
• Establish platform standards supporting metadata management, data lineage, business glossary, master data management (MDM), data quality, and enterprise governance.
• Drive adoption of enterprise data products and self-service capabilities through reusable architecture patterns, governance frameworks, and standardized engineering practices.
• Optimize enterprise data platforms for scalability, performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency across Google Cloud Platform.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• 6\+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms, cloud architectures, and modern analytics ecosystems.
• Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including BigQuery, Cloud Storage (GCS), Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and modern cloud-native data services.
• Strong experience designing enterprise semantic layers, semantic models, governed metrics, reusable business definitions, and self-service analytics capabilities.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture including structured and unstructured data, streaming, event-driven architectures, data lakes, lakehouses, and modern data warehouses.
• Experience implementing enterprise governance capabilities including Metadata Management, Data Catalog, Business Glossary, Data Lineage, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Quality.
• Experience designing scalable data products supporting enterprise analytics, AI/ML, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Strong SQL and dimensional data modeling experience including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience with modern data engineering technologies such as dbt, Apache Airflow, Terraform, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and platform automation.
