About the Opportunity
Elk River Recruiting is partnering with a growing commercial construction firm in the Raleigh area seeking a Project Manager to lead ground-up and large-scale renovation projects, with a focus on hospitality construction.
This role is ideal for someone who brings a strong combination of
field experience and technical understanding of construction processes
, and who can confidently manage projects from early planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Oversee budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
- Collaborate closely with Superintendents and field teams
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reporting
- Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders and leadership
Qualifications
- 7\+ years of experience in commercial construction
- Demonstrated experience managing ground-up or large-scale commercial projects, typically in the
$10M\+ range or 50,000\+ sqft.
- Strong field background (Superintendent or Foreman experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and project planning
- Experience with construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Background
- Experience in hospitality or hotel construction
- Exposure to technical or design-related aspects of construction (e.g., engineering coordination, project planning, or similar)
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven project environments
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required
