Job Description

Forefront Healthcare is looking for a highly organized, collaborative, and hands-on

Director of Facilities Management.

Position Information:

  • Location: Elk City, OK
  • Type: This is a salaried exempt leadership position. Extended hours, on-call availability, and emergency response may be required.
  • Salary: $85,000/yr

Position Summary:

The Director of Facilities serves as the site-level leader for all facilities management operations while representing Forefront within the client organization. This role has full accountability for safety, compliance, financial performance, and operational effectiveness of the facility. The Director sets the vision and strategy for facilities operations, ensures alignment with both Forefront standards and client expectations, and serves as the primary liaison between the client’s executive leadership (Administrator, COO, etc.) and Forefront Regional Leadership.

The Director directly oversees the Facility Manager(s) and hourly facility staff and provides leadership, direction, and decision-making authority for day-to-day operations, capital planning, and long-term facility strategy while maintaining strong partnership and communication with both the client and Forefront leadership.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Serve as the primary site leader responsible for all facilities operations and outcomes
  • Establish strategic direction for maintenance, utilities, fire/life safety, and facility improvement programs
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate Facility Managers and facilities hourly staff
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, safety, and accreditation requirements
  • Own operating and capital budgets; approve expenditures and manage financial performance
  • Develop and execute long-term capital plans and facility improvement strategies
  • Partner with the client, clinical teams, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure service excellence and alignment
  • Partner with Forefront Regional Leadership to drive performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead emergency preparedness, life safety, and business continuity planning
  • Make final decisions on priorities, staffing models, and vendor engagement
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Travel:

  • Some travel may occur for training and/or meetings.

General Responsibility as Required for Position:

  • Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
  • Attends department meetings as required.
  • Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certification/licenses, if applicable.
  • Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive facilities leadership experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in building systems, regulatory compliance, life safety, and accreditation standards
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, delivering clear expectations, timely feedback, and consistent follow-through at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead managers and influence cross-functional teams

License and Certification

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • OSHA 10 (General Industry) required within six (6) months of hire
  • CFM, CHFM, or equivalent preferred
