We are excited to be representing a well-capitalized and fast-growing real estate investment firm in their search for a Director of Investments. Anchored by a veteran team and with deep relationships to institutional capital, this position will play a critical role in scaling the firm’s portfolio of assets nationwide, and achieving the firm’s ambitious growth goals for the decade to come.

This is an execution-focused role, responsible for captaining the acquisition process. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling capabilities, seasoned dealmaking expertise, and a successful track record of negotiating deals through the full lifecycle, from underwriting through closing.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Acquisitions \& Investment Execution -Lead financial underwriting and analysis of acquisition and development opportunities, including building and maintaining detailed financial models -Evaluate investment opportunities across capital structures, return profiles, and risk scenarios -Support the preparation of investment committee materials and recommendations -Communicate key investment insights clearly to internal leadership Deal Execution \& Transaction Management -Play a central role in advancing transactions from initial evaluation through closing -Coordinate due diligence efforts, including review of leases, financials, and third-party reports -Interface with lenders, equity partners, brokers, and legal teams throughout the transaction process -Track and manage key workstreams to ensure timely and successful deal execution Financial Analysis \& Portfolio Support -Support fund-level and investment-level financial analysis, including performance projections and scenario modeling -Assist with investor-related analysis and ad hoc requests as needed -Contribute to ongoing evaluation of portfolio performance and investment strategy Collaboration \& Platform Growth -Collaborate daily with development, acquisitions, and asset management teams, as well as the executive team -Participate in internal pipeline discussions and investment strategy conversations -Contribute to a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where team members take ownership and initiative

Desired Skills And Experience

Experience -8-12 years of experience in real estate private equity, investment banking, real estate investment/development, or a similar institutional investment environment. -Candidates with 4-7 years will be considered, but for a more junior role. -Demonstrated experience underwriting and executing real estate transactions -Experience working through the full deal lifecycle - required Technical Skills -Advanced proficiency in Excel required. Experience with Argus preferred. -Strong understanding of real estate finance, including debt/equity structures and return metrics Core Competencies -Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex financial models -Clear and effective communicator, able to synthesize complex information for decision-making -Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to operate in a hands-on capacity -Comfortable working in a lean team environment with significant responsibility and visibility Personal Attributes -High intellectual curiosity and problem-solving ability -Team-oriented with a low-ego, collaborative mindset -Ability to operate with urgency and manage multiple priorities -Interest in growing within an entrepreneurial, institutionalizing platform
