Director of Marketing
Position Overview:
The Director of Marketing will lead and execute the firm’s marketing strategy for office brokerage services with a focus on downtown Chicago. This role is responsible for elevating brand presence, supporting brokerage teams, driving leasing and positioning the firm as a market leader in the Chicago CBD office sector. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on execution and has experience in commercial real estate marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Partner closely with office brokerage teams to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive office leasing within the portfolio.
- Position the firm and its brokers as thought leaders in the Chicago office market through storytelling, insights, and branding.
- Align marketing initiatives with clients goals.
Brokerage \& Property Marketing
- Partner closely with office brokerage teams to create customized marketing plans for listings, pitches, and pursuits.
- Oversee creation of property marketing materials including brochures, pitch decks, email campaigns, and digital assets.
- Ensure all marketing materials are high-quality, accurate, on-brand, and compliant with firm standards.
Brand Management \& Communications
- Manage and evolve the firm’s brand identity across all platforms, with a focus on the downtown Chicago market.
- Lead public relations efforts including press releases, media outreach, awards submissions, and market commentary.
- Develop and oversee content strategy (market reports, thought leadership, website content).
Digital Marketing \& Analytics
- Oversee digital marketing efforts including website strategy, SEO, email marketing, social media, and online advertising.
- Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance, ROI, and campaign effectiveness.
- Use market data and analytics to refine messaging and targeting.
Team Leadership \& Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with vendors such as designers, photographers, videographers, printers, and digital agencies.
- Oversee marketing budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field;
- 5\+ years of marketing experience, with significant experience in commercial real estate or professional services.
- Proven experience marketing office properties and brokerage services, preferably in a major urban CBD market.
- Strong understanding of the downtown Chicago office market and competitive landscape.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
