Job Description
Zarminali Pediatrics is building the nation's leading pediatric multispecialty group, focused on supporting families to shape healthy futures for their children – from birth through adulthood – by completely transforming the way pediatric care is delivered nationwide. We are tackling today's challenges of increased administrative burden on clinicians and a siloed approach to pediatric care through intentional design of care delivery, enhanced by leading technology and collaborative, expert care teams.
Our name, inspired by our founder's daughter's name – Zarmina – means “something that is more precious to you than gold”. We couldn’t think of anything that better represents the way parents and caregivers hold the relationship with their children as the most valuable gift, and how we at Zarminali approach care for each child with equal reverence.
We strive for a healthier future for pediatric patients and a happier future for pediatric clinicians nationwide, and we are looking for people to join us in achieving this vision. If you are eager to join a growth stage company and be part of the early team that is shaping the foundation of both the company and the delivery of pediatric care, then this opportunity might be for you!
Zarminali Pediatrics is seeking a
Director of Operations in Colorado
to lead field operations across an assigned region, own P\&L performance, and drive measurable results across a rapidly growing clinic footprint. This is a high-accountability, execution-focused role for a healthcare operations leader who leads through data, holds teams to clear performance standards, and has a proven track record of delivering results in complex, multi-site environments.
The Director will manage a team of Practice Managers and will be directly accountable for financial outcomes, operational consistency, and the performance of every clinic within their region. This role is not for a generalist — it is for a metrics-driven operator who thrives under pressure, moves with urgency, and builds teams that win.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Own Regional Financial Performance
- Own regional P\&L with full accountability for revenue growth, cost management, and margin performance across all assigned markets
- Drive same-store growth, clinic productivity, and EBITDA improvement across your region
- Partner with Finance to execute against annual operating plans, budgets, and performance targets
- Establish and rigorously enforce KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems that create accountability at the clinic and market level
- Ensure consistent financial visibility and reporting across all markets — no surprises, no blind spots
Lead \& Develop a High-Performing Operations Team
- Recruit, develop, and hold accountable a team of Practice Managers across all assigned locations
- Set clear performance expectations and manage decisively — rewarding high performance and addressing gaps quickly
- Build operational bench strength to support continued rapid growth
- Model and reinforce organizational values; hold Practice Managers to the same standard with their teams
- Create a culture of execution discipline, ownership, and continuous improvement
Execute Market Expansion \& Integration
- Lead operational execution for de novo clinic launches, acquisitions, and new market entry within your region
- Drive integration of acquired practices into Zarminali's standardized operating model, preserving culture and sustaining employee engagement throughout transitions
- Execute established playbooks and refine processes to enable repeatable, efficient market expansion
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure operational readiness ahead of every launch
Drive Clinical \& Operational Outcomes Through Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with clinical leadership to execute initiatives that move the needle on clinical and operational KPIs
- Align operational and clinical priorities to improve patient access, outcomes, and clinician engagement
- Ensure consistency in care delivery, workflow execution, and patient experience across all markets
- Collaborate with People, Finance, and Growth teams to ensure operational execution supports broader organizational priorities
Champion Operational Excellence \& Continuous Improvement
- Execute against the enterprise operating strategy with a focus on scale, consistency, and performance
- Implement standardized processes, systems, and reporting frameworks — while exercising sound judgment on appropriate market-level variation
- Lead efficiency initiatives that reduce variability, improve performance, and support sustained growth
- Continuously evaluate and refine operating models; use data to identify what is working and fix what is not
- Bring a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability to every aspect of the role
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 10\+ years of progressive healthcare operations leadership, with at least 5 years at the Manager or Director level
- Demonstrated P\&L ownership with accountability for business units or regions generating $30M–$50M\+ in annual revenue for a minimum of five years
- A data-first leadership style — you use metrics, KPIs, and financial indicators to drive decisions, manage performance, and tell the story behind results
- Experience in a PE-backed, high-growth, or startup healthcare environment where speed, adaptability, and execution are non-negotiable
- Proven track record of building high-performing teams, implementing scalable processes, and growing operations in fast-moving organizations
- M\&A and integration experience strongly preferred — including onboarding acquired practices, driving operational alignment, and sustaining culture through transitions
- Multi-site healthcare operations experience required; strong preference for primary care, pediatrics, urgent care, or ambulatory care settings
- Direct, concise communicator who receives feedback well, adapts quickly, and holds themselves and others to high standards
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an ownership mentality — you treat the business as your own and lead accordingly
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) preferred
WHAT WE OFFER:
- A foundational leadership role in scaling one of the most ambitious pediatric platforms in the country
- Direct accountability for enterprise growth, market performance, and operational outcomes
- High visibility and close partnership with executive leadership
- A fast-paced, performance-driven environment where strong execution is recognized and rewarded
- Market-competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package
