The Director of Product Management Position

Help shape Novi’s SaaS product portfolio. You’ll develop new products and workflows on top of world-class O\&G data that help customers make great capital allocation decisions. The role includes validating product concepts, creating clear product requirements, partnering with engineering in an agile environment, empowering customer-facing teams, and shipping capabilities that deliver value to operators, investors, and analysts. We welcome candidates with deep SaaS product experience and strong technical skills. Expertise in oil and gas is not a requirement for this role, but desirable. This position is an in-office individual contributor role at Novi’s HQ office in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Support the company strategy by contributing to product vision and roadmap
• Lead development and execution of Novi’s SaaS products from definition and planning through development, release, enabling product support teams, and outcome validation.
• Provide project management support to ensure cross-functional coordination and regular communication to project stakeholders
• Collaborate through agile processes (Jira) to develop user stories and requirements grounded in upstream domain knowledge and data-backed market/user insights.
• Serve as the voice of the customer, aligning product decisions with business goals and stakeholder needs.
• Manage and refine product backlogs, clarifying requirements, balancing priorities, and exploring alternative technical approaches with product and engineering.
• Partner with Marketing and Sales on go-to-market activities (positioning, demos, training, collateral).
• Support Sales and Customer Success by addressing client inquiries and creating materials that improve adoption and outcomes.

Requirements:

• 7\+ years of enterprise software product leadership experience, with a proven record of defining and scaling successful SaaS products in complex business domains.
• Deep customer empathy and the ability to translate market and user insights into product strategies that deliver measurable business and customer value.
• Strategic and technical acumen; able to connect product vision to technology capabilities, guiding teams through architecture, design, and implementation of trade-offs.
• Strong execution discipline, with a track record of bringing clarity and focus to complex product portfolios and delivering on ambitious roadmaps.
• Product collaboration: Experience working with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to move from problem definition to shipped solutions.
• Stakeholder communication: Proven ability to write concise specs, present tradeoffs, and facilitate decisions across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience shaping AI-enabled or data-driven products, with an affinity and strong understanding of how emerging technologies and AI tools can drive competitive advantage, enhance creativity, and amplify team productivity.
• Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to engage credibly with technical leaders, business executives, and customers alike.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly and effectively learn a new industry vertical (if not already coming from the O\&G space)
• Background:

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering or Business or equivalent practical experience.
