Overview

Join our dynamic clinical laboratory team as a Clinical Laboratory Medical Technologist, where your expertise will drive accurate diagnostics and impactful patient care. Responsibilities

  • Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests including immunoassays, PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and other molecular techniques.
  • Manage and maintain Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to ensure accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting of results.
  • Collect and process specimens through venipuncture and blood sampling while adhering to strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
  • Perform blood banking procedures and analyze blood samples for clinical diagnostics.
  • Apply physiology and anatomy knowledge to interpret test results accurately within clinical contexts.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, medical terminology standards, and regulatory guidelines for clinical laboratories.
  • Assist in laboratory management tasks such as inventory control, equipment calibration, quality assurance, and staff training.
  • Support clinical trials by preparing specimens, executing assays, and analyzing data with precision.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all laboratory activities including specimen collection/processing logs and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to relay vital signs data or other relevant information during patient assessments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field; certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment with knowledge of laboratory techniques such as PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and blood banking.
  • Strong data management skills with experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Proficiency in specimen collection/processing methods including venipuncture and blood sampling techniques.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and hospital laboratory procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex data sets accurately.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced settings.
