About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Front End Developer I to join our dynamic IT team in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing features for our web applications. You will collaborate closely with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers to create seamless, responsive, and engaging digital experiences. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or a related field from an accredited institution. Significant practical experience in front-end development may be considered as an alternative to formal education. A strong portfolio showcasing involvement in at least three web applications is required, with clear descriptions of the role played and contributions made in each project, emphasizing front-end development skills.

Key skills include foundational knowledge of the software development lifecycle, particularly Agile methodologies, and familiarity with dynamically typed languages like JavaScript and TypeScript. Candidates should have basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and front-end frameworks such as React and Redux. Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like SASS and LESS, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive mobile design is advantageous. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, build tools such as NodeJS, NPM, and webpack, and experience working with REST APIs will be beneficial. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills are essential, along with the ability to work under supervision and obtain security clearance if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain user-facing features for web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to the development of front-end architecture and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging front-end technologies and industry trends.
• Document technical specifications, development processes, and project progress clearly and thoroughly.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving front-end issues reported by users or internal teams.
