: As the Manager, Business Strategy \& Operations (Fashion), you are the strategic engine driving operational excellence and transformative growth within Walmart’s Fashion SBU. About The Team
The Strategy \& Operations team serves as the central engine for strategic execution and operational excellence within Walmart Global Sourcing. Our function is to bridge high-level organizational goals with actionable outcomes by establishing robust governance and PMO frameworks that support key horizontal initiatives across business units. We are responsible for driving standardization across templates and data models while ensuring the business maintains the speed and flexibility necessary to navigate a dynamic global landscape.
The team acts as a critical analytical hub, providing senior leadership with high-impact narratives, executive decision materials, and synthesized insights to guide complex trade-offs. Beyond standard operations, we lead the design and adoption of cutting-edge Technology and AI initiatives, manage cross-functional special projects, and provide vital mitigation support during periods of supply chain disruption or geopolitical risk. Ultimately, our team functions as a strategic partner to sourcing leaders, ensuring business alignment and operational consistency across all global workstreams.
About The Role
As the Manager, Business Strategy \& Operations (Fashion), you will play a critical role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives across Fashion business units. This position partners closely with Fashion sourcing leaders to define organizational priorities, lead cross-functional projects, and deliver outcomes that align with overarching global goals. You will act as a central representative for the Fashion SBU in broader corporate strategic workstreams, ensuring business alignment and timely inputs for the adoption of new technologies. Navigating a fast-paced environment, you will have the autonomy to standardize operational models and leverage analytical insights to protect business continuity and support executive decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Establish Governance \& PMO Support:
Provide centralized support to the Fashion SBU on horizontal initiatives, enabling standardization while preserving speed and flexibility at the SBU level.
- Lead Technology \& AI Adoption:
Act as the PMO lead for the design, rollout, and adoption of Technology and AI initiatives across the Fashion SBU, working closely with Tech teams.
- Drive Special \& Cross-Functional Projects:
Lead and drive specific Fashion initiatives with cross-functional leaders and represent the business in broader corporate strategic projects.
- Deliver Advanced Data Analytics:
Develop high-impact executive presentations and decision materials that synthesize data and insights to support senior leadership.
- Standardize Operational Models:
Support the development and standardization of templates and models while performing regular or ad hoc business analysis.
- Mitigate Strategic Risk:
Provide centralized analytical and governance support to Fashion SBU leaders during periods of geopolitical risk and supply chain disruption.
- Optimize Supplier Performance:
Deliver Quarterly and Bi-annual Supplier Scorecards and facilitate preparation for high-level Top-to-Top (T2T) meetings
What You'll Bring
- Professional Experience:
10\+ years of progressive experience in complex, cross-functional program execution within fast-paced, matrixed environments.
- Educational Foundation:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Strategic Sourcing \& Data Expertise:
Deep expertise in building data models, big data, and strategic sourcing.
- Technical Proficiency:
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in AI-driven models, enterprise systems, and advanced digital analytical skills.
- Strategic Narrative \& Storytelling:
Ability to craft compelling narratives and high-impact presentations to manage stakeholders and drive decision-making.
- Project Management Mastery:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite and expertise in project planning, supported by certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Agile/Scrum, or Six Sigma.
