Company Description:

Our Private-Equity Backed client is searching for a strong Corporate Controller to partner with the CFO and manage a small team. This individual will play a critical role in strengthening accounting operations, enhancing financial processes, and managing global consolidations. Their ideal candidate must have a public accounting upbringing or a CPA license, and have experience with global consolidations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all core accounting operations, including general ledger management, close processes, and financial reporting.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting leadership team across multiple functional areas.
• Manage global consolidation activities across multiple legal entities, driving initiatives to simplify and optimize the organizational structure.
• Oversee end-to-end financial cycles, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and payroll, with a focus on process efficiency and system optimization.
• Lead efforts to standardize and streamline payroll operations across multiple business units into a unified platform.
• Direct offshore resources supporting transactional accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal standards.
• Partner closely with executive leadership to evolve the finance function toward strategic planning, analysis, and decision support.
• Ensure compliance with external audit and tax requirements in coordination with third-party advisors.
• Oversee accounting for capital investments, including fixed assets and related financial processes across multiple locations.
• Provide technical accounting leadership on complex transactions to ensure compliance with applicable standards across the organization.
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Support executive and board-level reporting, including preparation of financial presentations and investor materials.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost optimization initiatives to enhance overall financial performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related degree
• Public Accounting experience and/or a CPA license is required.
• Experience in a Private-Equity Backed Company is required.
• Experience with global consolidations is required
• Knowledge of major accounting software packages for general ledger accounting
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, business leaders, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
