As the

Head of Data Management and Governance

, you will lead a newly established function under the Data Innovation and AI Division. Your role is to shape how data is managed across Chinabank—ensuring it is trustworthy, well-organized, and aligned with business and regulatory needs. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

• Set the vision and direction for data governance and master data management (MDM) across the bank
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, guiding them on priorities, delivery, and best practices
• Design and implement data governance policies, standards, and controls to ensure data quality and compliance
• Establish and maintain a centralized “single source of truth” for key data (e.g., customer, product, and operational data)
• Partner with business and technology teams to understand data needs and deliver practical solutions
• Monitor data quality, identify issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee data access, classification, retention, and security controls within the data platform
• Develop dashboards and reports to track performance and provide insights to senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus)
• Strong experience in data governance, master data management, data architecture, and data quality management
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and guide teams
• Solid understanding of data privacy and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with data management tools, platforms, and frameworks
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across different levels of the organization
