Position Overview:

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-Leaning) on the Plans team, you’ll play a central role in building and evolving the systems that power treatment planning, plan configuration, and eligibility workflows.

This role is backend-first, with a strong emphasis on designing and implementing scalable business logic, APIs, and data models that support complex pricing, eligibility, and plan rules. While you will contribute to Angular-based front-end applications, your primary impact will come through backend architecture, service design, and system integrity.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and front-end engineers to translate intricate business rules into reliable, maintainable systems that drive provider-facing experiences.

**Key Responsibilities:

Backend \& Platform Development**

• Design and build .NET-based services and APIs that power treatment planning, eligibility, and pricing logic
• Model and implement complex business rules and workflows across distributed systems
• Contribute to service architecture, including microservices, orchestration, and API contracts
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems
• Partner with Architecture on data modeling, domain design, and system boundaries
• Support production systems, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement

Front-End \& Application Development

• Contribute to Angular applications that surface backend-driven workflows
• Build and enhance UI components and workflows (forms, validation, conditional logic)
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure clean integration with APIs
• Support state management and asynchronous data flows using Angular and RxJS

Full-Stack Collaboration

• Work across the stack to ensure alignment between UI, APIs, and business logic
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment processes
• Partner with Product and Design to ensure technical feasibility and clarity of workflows

Qualifications:

Required

• 5\+ years of experience building production applications with a strong backend focus
• Proficiency in C# / .NET / ASP.NET and API development
• Experience designing and implementing business logic-heavy systems
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, data modeling, and system design
• Working experience with Angular and TypeScript (ability to contribute meaningfully to UI)
• Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable backend solutions

Preferred:

• Experience with microservices and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with SQL and data persistence strategies
• Exposure to workflow-driven systems (eligibility, fintech, healthcare, etc.)
• Experience collaborating in API-first or domain-driven environments
