We're partnering with a leading international oilfield services organization in Oman to find their next

HR Manager

, joining the in-country leadership team.

The HR Manager will serve as the principal architect of the organization's people agenda in-country, joining its senior leadership team. This is not a transactional HR role — it demands a hands-on, credible leader capable of building a high-performance culture, developing a sizeable HR team, and ensuring the organization is resourced and supported to meet the demands of a large, complex operational environment. Given the seniority and sensitivity of this appointment, the client's identity will only be disclosed to shortlisted candidates.

What you'll be doing

  • Partnering with the Country Director and senior leadership to develop and deliver the in-country people strategy
  • Acting as a trusted HR advisor to business and operational leaders, championing a positive, high-performance culture
  • Leading, developing, and inspiring a sizeable team of HR professionals
  • Overseeing talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
  • Ensuring HR policies and practices remain aligned with Omani employment legislation and company standards
  • Managing workforce planning to ensure the organization is resourced effectively to meet operational demands
  • Driving succession planning, learning and development, and career progression frameworks
  • Leading employee engagement initiatives and supporting the organization's wellbeing agenda

What we're looking for

  • 14–17 years of progressive HR experience, including significant time in a senior HR management role
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • A background in oil and gas is essential, ideally with a major international oilfield services company
  • Proven experience leading and managing HR teams within a large, operationally complex organization
  • A strong generalist HR profile across multiple disciplines, rather than narrow specialism
  • Sound knowledge of Omani labour law and HR best practice
  • Omani National required
