J MAR's client, a publicly traded energy company with a diversified portfolio of mineral, royalty, and non-operated oil and gas assets, is seeking an Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership and petroleum engineering oversight across the portfolio. Reporting directly to the company President, this position will focus on engineering evaluation, reserves management, asset optimization, and technical analysis to support strategic business decisions. Additionally, the position will include a business development component, to include industry relationship management and sourcing to support mineral and royalty acquisition opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate non-operated AFEs and provide participation and capital allocation recommendations.
• Lead technical evaluation of acquisition opportunities, including reserves, production, and economic analysis.
• Prepare and present technical and economic analyses supporting acquisition, capital allocation, and strategic investment decisions.
• Interface with third-party reserve engineers and auditors on annual and quarterly reserve reviews.
• Provide engineering guidance and mentorship while fostering continued professional development and technical excellence.
• Drive improvements in technical workflows, data quality, analytics capabilities, and evaluation processes.
• Partner with internal land professionals to identify opportunities on existing mineral assets.
• Develop and maintain industry relationships to support business development activities and identify acquisition opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• Must have 10\+ years of petroleum engineering experience, including reserves, economic evaluation, and acquisition analysis.
• Strong experience with mineral, royalty, and non-operated oil \& gas assets preferred.
• Experience evaluating acquisition opportunities and developing industry relationships within the oil \& gas industry.
• Solid experience with reserves software and industry data sources.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical capabilities.
• Data-driven mindset with strengths in analytics, technical workflows, and process improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and professional development support within an engineering organization.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical and economic analyses to executive leadership and business partners.
