We're looking for an iOS Developer

to help shape the next generation of karoot's mobility apps — working with the latest Swift, and involved across the full app development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Define and analyze software requirements
  • Build complex software applications
  • Debug, test and document software applications
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of other highly skilled interdisciplinary engineering professionals
  • Investigate, recommend and implement new technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Around 3 years of professional experience

developing native iOS applications.

  • Strong proficiency in

Swift

and modern iOS development practices.

  • Experience building user interfaces with

SwiftUI

.

  • Solid understanding of MVVM architecture and Clean Architecture principles.
  • Experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await, Task, Actor) and writing responsive, thread-safe applications.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling networking.
  • Experience implementing dependency injection and applying SOLID principles to create maintainable, testable code.
  • Experience writing automated tests, including unit tests using Swift Testing (or XCTest).
  • Familiarity with Apple Maps / MapKit and location-based features.
  • Experience implementing push notifications.
  • Proficient with Git, including collaborative workflows, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Experience documenting code and technical decisions to improve maintainability and team collaboration.
  • Good understanding of the iOS application lifecycle, app architecture, and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Experience preparing and submitting applications to the App Store, including release and distribution processes.
