Job Description
We're seeking an
Electrical Engineer
to support the design, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning of large-scale
modular data center infrastructure
. This role will focus on critical power systems, electrical distribution, backup power, and client-facing engineering support for hyperscale and AI-driven data center projects.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve electrical drawings, calculations, single-line diagrams, load schedules, and engineering deliverables
- Design and support medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems for mission-critical facilities
- Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, grounding/earthing design, and lighting studies
- Prepare technical requisitions, equipment specifications, MTOs, BOMs, and engineering documentation
- Evaluate and select critical electrical equipment including UPS systems, switchgear, generators, transfer switches, PDUs, and control systems
- Support manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in customer design reviews and serve as a technical resource during installation and startup
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEC, OSHA, and other applicable industry standards
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering (PE License strongly preferred)
- 3–15 years of electrical engineering experience
- Experience designing or supporting critical power infrastructure, industrial facilities, mission-critical environments, or data centers
- Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, power distribution, grounding, protection systems, and electrical equipment sizing
- Hands-on experience with UPS systems, diesel generators, switchgear, transfer switches, PDUs, VFDs, rectification systems, and backup power infrastructure
- Familiarity with electrical system analysis, load balancing, capacity planning, and power optimization
- Experience with ETAP, Dialux, Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Navisworks, or similar engineering tools
- Data center, hyperscale, AI infrastructure, mission-critical, industrial, or EPC project experience highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams
