Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Duties

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
  • Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting, cash flow analysis, and bank reconciliations to optimize liquidity.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met accurately and timely for governmental agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Perform technical accounting tasks related to complex transactions such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and non-profit or governmental accounting standards.
  • Support internal controls compliance by implementing SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) procedures and assisting with audit preparations.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Acuamtica, or similar platforms for efficient financial data management.
  • Assist in budgeting processes, financial analysis, and forecasting to aid strategic planning efforts.
  • Write detailed financial reports that communicate insights clearly to management and external auditors.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within private accounting or corporate finance environments.
  • Strong background in governmental or non-profit accounting is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency with various accounting software including Acumatica, QuickBooks, or equivalent financial management tools.
  • Experience handling payroll processing and related tax filings is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits \& credits, account analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
