HR Generalist (HR Operations \& Payroll - SaaS Environment)

About The Role
We are looking for a proactive HR Generalist who can
independently manage recruitment, payroll coordination, and HRMS operations
. This role requires someone comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced SaaS environment and driving HR processes with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment \& Hiring
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for junior to mid-level roles
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, and other channels
- Conduct initial screenings and coordinate interviews
- Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience
- Payroll \& HR Operations
- Own and manage monthly payroll inputs, validations, and coordination
- Manage attendance, leave tracking, and employee records
- Ensure accurate and timely HR data management
- Handle the complete employee lifecycle (onboarding to exit formalities)
- HRMS \& SaaS HR Management
- Independently manage HRMS, especially Zoho People
- Maintain and optimize employee data, workflows, and reports
- Identify process gaps and drive improvements using HR tech
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance through HR systems
- Employee Engagement \& Support
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries
- Support and execute engagement initiatives
- Help maintain a positive and structured work environment
- HR Processes \& Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company policies and HR processes
- Maintain documentation and compliance records
- Support audits and HR reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- 1 – 2 years of relevant HR experience
- Hands-on experience with Zoho People (mandatory)
- Working knowledge of payroll processes
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a SaaS/startup environment
- Familiarity with HR analytics/reporting
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
