HR Generalist (HR Operations \& Payroll - SaaS Environment)

About The Role

We are looking for a proactive HR Generalist who can

independently manage recruitment, payroll coordination, and HRMS operations

. This role requires someone comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced SaaS environment and driving HR processes with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment \& Hiring
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for junior to mid-level roles
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, and other channels
  • Conduct initial screenings and coordinate interviews
  • Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience
  • Payroll \& HR Operations
  • Own and manage monthly payroll inputs, validations, and coordination
  • Manage attendance, leave tracking, and employee records
  • Ensure accurate and timely HR data management
  • Handle the complete employee lifecycle (onboarding to exit formalities)
  • HRMS \& SaaS HR Management
  • Independently manage HRMS, especially Zoho People
  • Maintain and optimize employee data, workflows, and reports
  • Identify process gaps and drive improvements using HR tech
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance through HR systems
  • Employee Engagement \& Support
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries
  • Support and execute engagement initiatives
  • Help maintain a positive and structured work environment
  • HR Processes \& Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and HR processes
  • Maintain documentation and compliance records
  • Support audits and HR reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1 – 2 years of relevant HR experience
  • Hands-on experience with Zoho People (mandatory)
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes
  • Strong communication and coordination skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a SaaS/startup environment
  • Familiarity with HR analytics/reporting
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
