A leading manufacturing company in the

Reno, Nevada area

is seeking an experienced

Supply Chain Manager

to lead all aspects of purchasing, production planning, inventory control, warehousing, shipping/receiving, and materials management.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the operation while driving improvements in cost, quality, inventory performance, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing supply chain management and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all supply chain functions, including purchasing, production planning, inventory control, warehousing, and shipping/receiving
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and customer delivery
  • Manage production planning and master scheduling to support manufacturing operations and customer demand
  • Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Drive improvements related to material shortages, obsolete inventory, excess inventory, and overall supply chain performance
  • Track supplier quality and on-time delivery while partnering with suppliers on corrective actions and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, and Production Planning to optimize scheduling and material availability
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to improve operational performance and supply chain efficiency
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives throughout the plant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7\+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, purchasing, inventory control, or production planning within manufacturing
  • Proven leadership experience managing supply chain teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in production planning, purchasing, inventory management, and logistics
  • Experience driving continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • APICS certification is a plus
