Role Description:
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
Marketing Coordinator
to join our New York City office. The ideal candidate will work closely with leadership on a range of marketing and business development activities, including crafting proposals, maintaining the firm’s digital presence, and supporting our strategic growth initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to contribute directly to our ongoing success and visibility in the architecture and design industry.
Responsibilities:
- Brand Management:
Develop and maintain a strong and consistent brand image for the firm across all platforms and materials. This includes overseeing the creation and maintenance of branding assets such as brochures, portfolios, presentations, website content, and marketing collateral.
- Marketing Strategy and Implementation:
Support the development and execution of the firm’s marketing strategy, including content marketing, digital outreach, public relations, and event participation. Coordinate press releases and media outreach related to projects, awards, and firm initiatives, and assist leadership in implementing initiatives that strengthen the firm’s market presence.
- Business Development Support:
Research, identify, and track potential project opportunities and target clients. Monitor industry trends and leads to support strategic business development efforts and help position the firm effectively in key markets.
- Proposal and Presentation Development:
Lead and coordinate the preparation of RFP and RFQ responses, project proposals, and assist with client presentations. Collaborate with firm leadership, technical staff, and subconsultants to develop compelling materials that highlight the firm’s expertise and project experience.
- Market Research and Opportunity Tracking:
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and client needs. Maintain tracking systems for leads, pursuits, and project opportunities to support informed marketing and business development decisions.
- Digital Marketing and Content Creation:
Manage and update the firm’s digital presence, including website content, social media platforms, newsletters, and email campaigns. Develop blog posts, case studies, and portfolio updates that communicate the firm’s work and insights. Track and analyze website performance using Google Analytics and monitor social media analytics to evaluate engagement, reach, and effectiveness, using insights to refine digital marketing efforts.
- Marketing Asset and Information Management:
Maintain organized marketing resources including project descriptions, digital photography, staff biographies, and other documentation used in proposals and communications. Coordinate with professional photographers to schedule and manage project photo shoots, oversee image selection and usage rights, and ensure photography aligns with brand standards and marketing needs.
- Networking, Events, and Industry Engagement:
Support the firm’s participation in conferences, professional events, community outreach, and industry engagement opportunities. Assist with event preparation and coordination and support relationship-building with clients, consultants, industry partners, and media contacts.
- Awards and Recognition:
Manage the preparation and submission of materials for design awards and other recognition programs that highlight the firm’s accomplishments.
- Graphic and Visual Communications:
Design and produce graphics and visual materials for proposals, presentations, and internal and external communications to effectively convey the firm’s work and ideas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Architecture, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, preferably within the architecture, engineering, or design industry.
- Strong graphic design abilities with advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience preparing high-quality RFP/RFQ responses, proposals, and presentation materials in a deadline-driven environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proactive, resourceful, and capable of problem-solving in a collaborative, fast-paced professional setting.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing best practices, including website content management, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
