The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager who thrives in startup environments and enjoys building products from the ground up. This role combines technical leadership, team management, and active involvement in architecture, development, and delivery.

You will work closely with Product, Design, AI, and Leadership teams to build scalable products while helping grow a high-performing engineering organization.

This is not a traditional people-management role. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, remain close to the code, and help establish the engineering culture and foundation for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers across web, mobile, backend, and AI-enabled products.
• Remain actively involved in architecture, system design, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Drive engineering planning, execution, and delivery across multiple initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and AI teams to build exceptional customer experiences.
• Establish engineering best practices, development processes, and quality standards.
• Help recruit, hire, and develop top engineering talent.
• Build scalable, reliable, and secure systems capable of supporting rapid growth.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8\+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years leading engineering teams.
• Prior experience in startup or high-growth technology environments.
• Strong hands-on software development background with experience shipping customer-facing products.
• Experience designing scalable backend systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern web or mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, databases, system design, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and execution in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience building AI-powered or data-driven products.
• Experience with mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
• Experience working with distributed teams.
• Previous experience scaling engineering teams through rapid growth.

Base Salary

: $220,000 – $260,000
