Job Description
An established and innovative manufacturer of premium electromechanical products is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the development of next-generation products from concept through production.
This position offers the opportunity to work on highly visible new product development initiatives, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design, prototype, validate, and launch products used by customers around the world. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working across hardware and embedded systems, and influencing product architecture from the earliest stages of development.
Responsibilities
- Product Development
- Lead the electrical design and development of new products from concept through commercialization.
- Design analog and digital circuits, power electronics, and embedded hardware solutions.
- Develop electrical system architecture and component selection for new product platforms.
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Support prototype builds, testing, design verification, and product validation activities. Engineering \& Technical Leadership
- Serve as the electrical engineering subject matter expert on cross-functional product development teams.
- Partner closely with Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain throughout the development process.
- Conduct design reviews, root cause investigations, and engineering analyses to improve product performance and reliability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance product functionality, manufacturability, and cost. Manufacturing \& Continuous Improvement
- Support manufacturing during product launches and production ramp-up.
- Troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues during prototype and production builds.
- Drive design improvements focused on quality, reliability, cost reduction, and ease of manufacturing.
- Collaborate with suppliers to qualify electrical components and resolve technical issues.
Desired Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
- 5\+ years of electrical engineering experience in a product development or manufacturing environment.
- Experience designing analog and digital electronic circuits.
- Strong understanding of embedded hardware design, microcontrollers, sensors, and power management.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
- Knowledge of electrical testing, troubleshooting, and design validation methods.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead technical projects while collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines.
