President \& CEO:

Our non-profit has an incredible history, looking to transition, and is seeking a visionary and mission-driven President \& Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization into its next chapter of impact and growth.

The President \& CEO holds ultimate responsibility for setting strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and advancing the non-profit mission of serving the community with compassion, innovation, and accountability. This role provides executive leadership over staff, programs, and resource development, while cultivating strong external partnerships to expand organizational reach and sustainability. The President \& CEO will guide fundraising efforts, strengthen core programs, and drive business planning to ensure that non-profitcontinues to thrive as a trusted leader in health equity and social services.

Major Duties and Responsibilities by Function

Board Governance:

·      Lead the non-profit organization in a manner that supports and advances the mission as defined by the Board of Directors.

·      Communicate effectively with the Board, providing timely and accurate information necessary for sound decision-making.

·      Develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors; serve as an ex-officio member of all committees; seek and build board engagement in strategic direction for both new and ongoing operations.

Financial Performance and Viability:

·      Ensure the fiscal integrity of the non-profit, including submission of an annual budget and monthly financial statements that accurately reflect the organization’s financial condition.

·      Manage fiscal operations within the approved budget, ensuring maximum resource utilization and maintaining a positive financial position.

·      Oversee processes and controls to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and professional performance.

Organizational Leadership:

·      Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous evaluation, and consistent quality of financial, administrative, and client services.

·      Lead, coach, develop, and retain non-profit senior management team while fostering succession planning.

·      Engage and energize staff, volunteers, board members, event committees, partner organizations, and funders.

·      Ensure effective systems are in place to measure outcomes, client progress, and program effectiveness for regular reporting to stakeholders.

Resource Development \& Marketing:

·      Provide visionary leadership for all fundraising and revenue diversification strategies, ensuring the organization has the financial strength to sustain and expand its mission.

·      Partner closely with the Board of Directors and Director of Strategic Initiatives to cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, institutional funders, corporate partners, and individual giving campaigns.

·      Drive innovation in revenue generation by identifying and pursuing new funding streams, earned income opportunities, and strategic collaborations.

·      Serve as the non-profit chief ambassador and spokesperson, enhancing visibility through public speaking, media engagement, and relationship-building with stakeholders, donors, and community leaders.

·      Oversee development and marketing strategies to ensure consistent messaging, strong brand identity, and broad community engagement.

·      Establish and monitor key performance metrics for fundraising and marketing, ensuring accountability, transparency, and measurable progress toward ambitious revenue goals.

Planning and New Business:

·      Lead the strategic planning process for new initiatives and organizational growth.

·      Build partnerships in new markets and sectors; cultivate relationships with funders, political leaders, and community stakeholders.

·      Guide business planning to ensure new opportunities align with non-profit mission and sustainability.

Other Duties

·      Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Essential Requirements:

  • · Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Health Administration, or Business Administration.
  • 6–8 years of nonprofit management experience (Social Work/Human Services track), or
  • 8–10 years of nonprofit management experience (Health/Business Administration track).
  • · Proven excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high-performing teams, and achieve strategic objectives in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • ·Demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising, including individual, corporate, and foundation giving (3–5 years preferred).
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors and cultivating strong board relationships.
  • ·Strong marketing, public relations, and communications skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and federal, state, and local regulations affecting nonprofits.
  • · Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative in business planning and program development.
  • ·Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • · Knowledge of public and private funding sources.
  • · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse groups.
  • Demonstrated empathy for low-income and marginalized populations
