What We Offer
Investment Analyst position is part of Novant Asset Management Company’s Team and supports efforts related to the all aspects of investments management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reporting, financial modeling, research, market analysis, fee and expense analysis, manager due diligence and various ad hoc projects based on defined investment objectives. Supports efforts related to overall operational management of the Plans (e.g., custodial relationships, internal reporting, transaction processing, timely payment of expenses, cash forecasting, budgeting, etc.), investment performance analysis and analytics development to formalize decision making process. Researches and analyzes data to support the senior Investments staff in making critical investment, portfolio management, hedging and strategic planning decisions
What We're Looking For
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field preferred.
- Experience: No experience required, minimum three years relevant experience, preferred. Preferred: 3 years of relevant experience in Investment Management at an endowment, foundation, pension, fund-of-funds, or asset management firm, preferred.
- Licensure/certification/registration: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA): will possess or actively be in the process of earning CFA designation, preferred.
- Additional skills required:
+ Good communication and presentation skills with a firm understanding of the financial markets and investment environment
+ Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Bloomberg, Risk systems, Custodian system, etc.
+ Knowledge in statistical modeling, analytical and programming skills (Python, MATLAB).
