Overview

An organization is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing and inventory activities in a fast-moving supply environment. This position is responsible for identifying products, evaluating suppliers, and ensuring materials are available to meet fluctuating demand. Core Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and acquire materials and products needed to support ongoing operations, ensuring timely availability
• Research market offerings and supplier options to recommend cost-effective and reliable sourcing solutions
• Monitor inventory levels and usage trends to anticipate needs and reduce shortages or excess stock
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and align purchasing activities accordingly
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with vendors to achieve favorable outcomes
• Maintain supplier relationships and proactively address delays, discrepancies, or fulfillment issues
• Track industry developments and demand shifts to inform buying strategies and improve responsiveness
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and inventory practices

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations, preferably within materials-based or distribution-focused industries
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Effective communication and negotiation capabilities
• Familiarity with inventory control, forecasting, or demand planning concepts is preferred
