Senior Frontend Engineer
UMATR are supporting an early-stage AI startup on a mission to help growing organisations stay aligned and efficient as they scale. What You’ll Do
- Build and ship high-quality frontend features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Translate designs into polished, responsive, production-ready UI
- Partner closely with our designer to iterate rapidly on new UX and UI concepts
- Take end-to-end ownership of projects in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
- Collaborate with founders and cross-functional teams to shape product and technical direction
- (Bonus) Work across the stack when needed, supporting backend teams and integrations
What We’re Looking For
- 3\+ years of strong frontend engineering experience with React and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of modern frontend architectures, state management, and performance optimisation
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and move with urgency
- Experience shipping production systems with high-quality engineering standards
- Bonus: experience in a fullstack environment or working closely with backend engineers
- Bias toward ownership, rapid execution, and craftsmanship
Ideal Background
- Experience building and scaling products at fast-moving startups (preferred), or at high-bar tech companies
- Comfortable with early-stage ambiguity and excited by zero-to-one challenges
- Strong product intuition and attention to detail
- A builder mentality — hands-on, resourceful, and motivated to create something enduring
