We have partnered with a growing organization in Clearwater to find a hands-on, self-directed Controller. Reporting directly to the owner of the organization, this role is designed for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic startup environment and brings proven experience leading and developing a small internal accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day oversight for a small, dedicated internal accounting team
• Take complete, hands-on accountability for all accounting operations, ranging from basic reconciliations and bookkeeping to full-cycle month-end closes
• Oversee and execute daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance alongside your team
• Manage comprehensive cash flow forecasting, treasury functions, and cash burn monitoring to maintain healthy financial visibility
• Partner closely with leadership to streamline accounting workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and promote continuous process improvement
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports while ensuring total tax and regulatory compliance

Qualifications \& Requirements:

• 4\+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a proven background operating in a hands-on, low-supervision capacity
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (an active CPA license is a strong plus)
• Professional experience within a fast-paced startup or small-to-mid-sized business environment is preferred
• Tech-savvy with a proven ability to evaluate, implement, and optimize modern financial software, and automation tools
