Job Description

Meta is seeking a senior Communications Manager to lead our communications strategy in Thailand. This full-time role is critical to shaping Meta's public narrative, protecting our reputation, and driving business impact in one of our most strategically important markets in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven communications leader with deep expertise in the Thai media and digital landscape. They bring a track record of operating at senior levels — advising leadership, navigating complex regulatory environments, and building impactful communications programs. This role reports to the Head of Communications, Southeast Asia and sits within the APAC Communications team.

Communications Manager, Thailand Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the end-to-end communication strategy for Thailand, aligned to regional SEA and global priorities
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to country and regional senior leadership on reputation, risk, and opportunity
  • Build trusted partnerships with cross-functional teams including Policy, Legal, Marketing, Product, and Business to align on communications strategy
  • Lead rapid-response communications on complex crises, regulatory issues, and reputational incidents, coordinating cross-functionally and advising on posture
  • Develop and execute proactive narratives around Meta's business impact, trust and safety investments, and creator ecosystem
  • Design and lead social-first communications strategies, using Meta's owned social channels as primary storytelling platforms
  • Build and execute creator partnership strategies that leverage local Thai creators, opinion leaders, and community voices to amplify Meta's narrative authentically
  • Champion a metrics-driven approach to communications, using data to inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and demonstrate impact to leadership
  • Actively experiment with AI tools and workflows to improve communications efficiency, content production, media monitoring, and reporting
  • Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with tier-1 media, digital publishers, creators, and opinion leaders in Thailand
  • Manage agency partnerships and local vendor relationships for maximum impact and efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10\+ years of professional experience in communications, with a mix of agency and in-house backgrounds preferred
  • Experience developing and executing communications strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Track record of advising senior leadership on reputational risk and strategic communications decisions
  • Fluency in Thai and English (written and spoken)
  • Experience managing PR agencies and cross-functional stakeholder relationships
  • Deep, well-established relationships with Thai media and proven media relations expertise
  • Data literacy with comfort using metrics, measurement frameworks, and data to inform communications decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Meta's products and the Thai/Southeast Asian digital ecosystem
  • Experience in social media and creator strategy, using owned social channels as a core communications tool
  • Experience in the technology industry or at a global platform company
  • Background in managing communications during regulatory or policy-driven moments
  • Comfort operating in regional or matrixed team structures
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
