What you'll be doing

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Business Systems / Data Analyst with strong expertise in Data Warehousing, Advanced SQL, Data Analysis, Requirements Analysis, and Technical Documentation.

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, Data Modelers, Data Engineers, Development teams, QA teams, and offshore BSA teams to understand business requirements, analyze data and existing business logic, develop detailed functional and technical specifications, and support successful delivery from requirements through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business discovery sessions and interact directly with business stakeholders to understand and analyze requirements.
• Analyze data and interpret existing business and technical logic.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including:

+ Product Design Documents (PDD)

+ Source-to-Target Mapping (STM)

+ Functional Specifications

+ Technical Specifications

• Collaborate closely with Data Modelers, Data Engineers, and Development teams to ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
• Coordinate with offshore BSA teams and support effective collaboration across distributed teams.
• Support and participate in UAT and testing activities.
• Partner with QA and business teams for requirement clarification and validation.
• Take ownership of deliverables from requirements analysis through implementation.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work independently, identify issues or gaps, and proactively drive deliverables toward completion.

What we're looking for

#### Educational Qualifications

• Engineering Degree: BE / ME / BTech / MTech / BSc / MSc, or equivalent.
• Technical certifications in relevant technologies are desirable.

#### Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing (DWH) concepts and data architecture.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex query development and hands-on data analysis.
• Strong ability to analyze datasets and understand existing business and data logic.
• Experience creating detailed technical documentation, specifications, and mapping documents.
• Experience developing PDDs, Source-to-Target Mappings, and Functional/Technical Specifications.
• Strong business requirements gathering and analysis capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering and Data teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.

Candidates should ideally bring prior experience as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) or Technical Product Owner. The role can also suit a strong Developer/Data Analyst who has transitioned into a techno-functional role and can combine hands-on data analysis with business and technical requirements ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the following areas would be beneficial but is not mandatory:

• Product Owner experience within an Agile environment.
• Exposure to databases/data platforms such as Snowflake, Oracle, and Greenplum.
• Exposure to Alteryx and workflow development.
• Experience working with offshore or distributed teams.
• Experience supporting UAT planning and execution.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery models.
