Amazon Account Strategist (Full-Time)
We are seeking an experienced Amazon Account Strategist to own and grow a portfolio of brands on Amazon. This role requires deep, hands-on experience with both Amazon Vendor Central and Amazon Seller Central, as well as proven success operating in an agency environment and within eCommerce businesses.
You are a strategic leader who understands how to scale brands on Amazon through best-in-class strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You can operate at a high level to design growth roadmaps while remaining close to the details that drive daily performance.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end Amazon strategy and execution for a portfolio of brand partners (Vendor Central and Seller Central).
Own client relationships: regularly communicate performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders.
Develop and execute growth roadmaps leveraging Amazon programs, including AMS/Advertising Console, Vendor Central tools, Seller Central capabilities, and marketplace programs.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, advertising, creative, operations, inventory, data/analytics) to deliver cohesive strategies and execution.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and category assessments to identify opportunities for share and revenue growth.
Define, track, and report on key KPIs (traffic, conversion, share of voice, contribution margin, etc.) and build data-driven test-and-learn plans.
Collaborate on and oversee paid and organic Amazon search strategies, including keyword strategy, bid optimization, and content relevance improvements.
Ensure product listings are fully optimized and accurate, including titles, bullets, descriptions, A\+ content, images, and category placement.
Oversee product launch plans, from listing creation and content to inventory readiness, reviews strategy, and advertising launch.
Coordinate submission of product certifications and required documentation to Amazon as needed.
Monitor product rankings, search visibility, and category performance using analytics and third-party software tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as listing suppressions, policy flags, and missing or inaccurate catalog data.
Partner with internal teams to leverage external traffic strategies (e.g., paid media, social, email) to drive conversion and keyword ranking on Amazon.
Analyze performance of top “hero” SKUs and full catalog at the SKU level to inform demand forecasting, inventory planning, and margin optimization.
Identify marketplace, category, and consumer trends and translate them into actionable recommendations for brand partners.
Requirements
Must have extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central and Amazon Seller Central.
Must have proven experience in an agency setting managing multiple client accounts.
Must have direct eCommerce experience (either managing marketplaces, DTC, or omni-channel eCommerce operations).
Track record of growing brands on Amazon through both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
Strong analytical and financial acumen, including market research, competitive analysis, and forecasting/financial modeling.
High proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, and core formulas for performance and financial analysis).
Demonstrated experience with Amazon advertising and organic optimization, including keyword research, campaign optimization, and content testing.
Ability to manage and improve catalog data quality, including resolving listing errors and compliance issues.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex performance data into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal teams.
Self-starter with “ownership” mentality, able to design and drive new initiatives and experiments to increase sales and profitability.
Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
