Job Description

The Information Technology (IT) Director position requires a senior level leader who is strategic, highly collaborative, and influential. This position is responsible for planning, strategy, analysis and management of all of the Company’s infrastructure, including hardware, software and networking systems. The IT Director will identify the needs of the organization and oversee, manage and prioritize projects, all technical systems and software and associated updates, helpdesk and coworker service, security and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This position will lead the entire IT team supporting growth, ensuring goals and projects are met in a timely manner, managing costs and supporting the entire organization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for coaching, teaching, and supervision of assigned personnel.
  • Responsible for effective employee relations. Initiates and is proactive with employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through identifying problems and resolutions.
  • Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals while adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Responsible for the performance management (hiring, development, discipline, termination) of direct reports while collaborating with Human Resources.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining business relationships, which includes working with all levels and organizations of the company.
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department and all technology operations, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as required.
  • Analyze the organization’s requirements of all business units and departments to determine needs, prioritization and return on investment.
  • Develop and execute strategic planning to coincide with the Company’s initiatives and planned future growth.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Develop and implement plans to prioritize, document and manage projects and associated scope and risk and communicate progress to the team.
  • Create and improve visual processes and tools to track projects progress, challenges and timing.
  • Establish and improve project management controls and metrics and report out to the organization.
  • Work cross-functionally with others and lead meetings to determine objectives, track progress, troubleshoot challenges, and execute deliverables assigned to project.
  • Evaluate and manage adherence to federal technology requirements for security.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all hardware and software programs, updates and configurations and make recommendations regarding efficiency, cost or strategic action needed of such programs.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and monitor, upgrade or improve technological equipment as needed or required.
  • Implement and maintain company-wide technology updates and required training regarding updates.
  • Create processes and standards for selection, implementation and support of systems.
  • Revise current or create new IT policies and systems to support the organizations needs and future direction.
  • Oversee management of the developer and helpdesk teams to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery of projects and tasks.
  • Manage team to ensure continuous improvement events within the team are executed and maintain cross-functionally throughout the organization.
  • Strategically create and maintain annual budget.
  • Build relationships with vendors and create cost-efficient contracts that meet the needs of the organization.
  • Travel up to 25% to support the needs of the business, including international travel is required.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required.
  • Ten (10) or more years of IT management related experience required.
  • Five or more years of experience in an executive leadership position preferred.

Base Compensation Range

: $152,487 - $260,834 annually

Variable Compensation Range

: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 12% of gross annual salary base on company performance.

Professional office environment with some time spent in a manufacturing shop. Use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets, etc.). Frequent presence on the manufacturing floor as well as field operations. Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures.
