We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Junior Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic maintenance team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About The Role

This position supports the maintenance department with electrical and mechanical tasks, fault finding, breakdown response, and preventative maintenance. The goal is to help ensure smooth production operations and minimal downtime.

This opportunity is ideal for a recently qualified Millwright or technician with limited post-trade experience who is eager to grow and develop their technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and equipment stoppages
• Perform fault finding and basic diagnostics
• Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Support installations of machinery and equipment
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company procedures
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the workplace
• Work according to production schedules, including standby or overtime when required
• Support setup and changeovers with minimal production interruption

Requirements

• Qualification in Electrical / Millwright / Mechatronics
• Millwright Trade Test (limited post-qualification experience welcome)
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Exposure to PLC and HMI systems (advantageous, including coding exposure)
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office advantageous)
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn
