Your role:
As a Doctor in the Navy, you'll practice medicine and be responsible for the health and wellbeing of Navy personnel and supporting communities in need, onboard ships and ashore.
You'll get to apply your practical and professional skill sets in unique environments, working in modern, fully equipped facilities with trained Nursing, Administrative and Allied Health staff to support you. If you’re already studying or ready to study a job-relevant degree at your choice of accredited university, you can join the Navy and have your fees paid for. You’ll earn a salary while you complete your degree and walk straight into a Navy role following graduation.

Salary:
Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you’ll enjoy a salary package starting from $138,979\.
Eligibility:
- For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of appointment and an Australian Citizen.
- For university sponsorship, you can apply for Defence University Sponsorship (DUS) at any point during your degree, so long as you have an offer of placement from an Australian university for an Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) approved program of study that will lead to registration as a medical practitioner, however, you’ll only have your study sponsored from your date of appointment into the Navy.
