About the role

The Education and Communications Officer plays a key role in managing the strategy, development and evaluation of the Public Transport Authority’s community education program. This position is responsible for delivering initiatives that educate and engage diverse community groups while supporting broader communications objectives.

You will coordinate the development and implementation of communication strategies to inform and connect with key stakeholders including local and state government, schools, community organisations, and transport safety partners. The role also coordinates community and stakeholder engagement activities, represents the PTA at external events and working groups, and contributes to the development of education content and resources

Working within the Customer Strategy and Communications division, you will analyse and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies, identify opportunities for engagement, and contribute to marketing and communication projects that support corporate priorities.

About You!

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or significant experience in communications, education or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies, particularly within education programs
  • Proven experience in community consultation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to develop a range of communication materials

There is one permanent part-time opportunity available, working

48 hours per fortnight
