The Business Intelligence Analyst II will play a crucial role in enabling our organization to make data-driven decisions by analyzing complex data sets and providing actionable insights. They will collect, process, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can inform strategic planning and operational improvements. Using various tools and technologies, such as SQL, data visualization software (e.g., Power BI), and statistical analysis, they will create detailed reports and dashboards that present data in an understandable and impactful manner. Additionally, they will collabore with different departments to understand their data needs, ensure data quality, and support the implementation of data-driven solutions that enhance business performance and efficiency.
Essential Functions
- Data Modeling \& Analysis: Build and maintain data models to support reporting and analysis needs. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
- Data Governance \& Security: Ensures data quality and governance by adhering to data management best practices. Follows the security and privacy of data per organizational policies and regulations.
- Data Collection, Cleansing, \& Consolidation: Gathering data from various sources, cleaning and preprocessing it to maintain accuracy and consistency, and integrating multiple data sets into a single, cohesive dataset
- Visualization: Develops data visualizations that effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders.
- KPI Development: Defines and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance.
- Collaboration \& Steakholder Communication: Work closely with different departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through presentations and meetings.
- Training: Train business users on how to use BI tools and interpret data reports. Interest in learning new BI tools, concepts, and efficiencies.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements based on data analysis findings.
- Documentation: Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings for future reference and auditing.
- Tool Implementation \& Trend Analysis: Assist in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of BI tools and software. Identify and analyze business and market trends to provide strategic insights.
Position Requirements
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or related field with 6\+ years experience basic understanding of business intelligence concepts and tools.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or related field with 2\+ years experience basic understanding of business intelligence concepts and tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Power user in Excel is required
- Proficiency with one or more reporting tools preferred (Cystal Reports, Power BI, or similar)
