About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations for K-12 and educational construction projects throughout South Georgia.

This role is designed for a senior field leader who can manage subcontractors, maintain schedules, enforce safety and quality standards, and take full ownership of project execution from mobilization through closeout.

The ideal candidate has extensive commercial construction experience and a strong track record delivering school or educational facility projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all daily field operations for K-12 and educational construction projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, deliveries, and site activities
  • Develop and maintain short-term and master construction schedules
  • Ensure project milestones and completion dates are achieved
  • Enforce site safety requirements and company safety procedures
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and project requirements
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors
  • Conduct subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and daily site coordination
  • Identify scheduling, sequencing, manpower, and constructability issues
  • Resolve field conflicts quickly and minimize project delays
  • Maintain daily reports, progress documentation, and site records
  • Coordinate testing, inspections, punch-list completion, and project closeout
  • Ensure work complies with contract documents, codes, and local regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professionally managed jobsite

Required Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
  • Direct experience leading K-12, school, or educational facility construction projects
  • Experience managing projects from site mobilization through final completion
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and hold project teams accountable
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality-control procedures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, design teams, inspectors, and owners
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in an active construction environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering ground-up K-12 construction projects
  • Experience with school renovations, additions, occupied campuses, or phased construction
  • Established relationships with subcontractors and inspectors in South Georgia
  • Experience managing public-sector or publicly funded construction projects
  • Familiarity with construction management and scheduling software
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Candidates located in or near South Georgia
