Job Description
Role overview:
Our client seeks a QC Scientist to perform analytical testing, support product development, and contribute to quality control release activities. The role includes method development, process optimization, investigations, and technical documentation.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing of products, raw materials, custom services, and in-process samples.
- Develop methods, evaluate formulations, conduct stability studies, and support validations and technical transfers.
- Investigate out-of-specification results and troubleshoot analytical systems and equipment.
- Prepare reports, test specifications, batch records, laboratory notebooks, and other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with scientists, technicians, project teams, and other departments to complete testing and deliver projects.
- Communicate project status, resource needs, scheduling issues, and technical updates to management and project teams.
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or a relevant life science field.
- Two or more years of related industry experience.
- Experience with chromatography, HPLC, GC, and titration.
- Knowledge of analytical methods and interpretation of analytical results.
- Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work with quality system requirements and analytical documentation.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO 17034 requirements.
- Experience in GLP, GMP, or ISO environments.
- Knowledge of medical device, pharmaceutical, or clinical quality systems.
- Experience operating UV-Vis, RI, ELSD, FID, or other chromatographic detectors.
- Experience with mass balance techniques traceable to primary pharmacopeias.
