Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring tasks, conduit bending, and fixture installation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Conduct low voltage and high voltage wiring work following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and ensure safety compliance.
- Support the setup of construction sites by framing carpentry and preparing work areas for electrical installations.
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical systems.
- Experience with low voltage and high voltage wiring is a plus.
- Familiarity with NEC standards and using testing devices like ohmmeters for troubleshooting.
