Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated

Electrical Engineer

with

0–3 years of experience

to join our Engineering team in

Alabama

. This full-time opportunity is ideal for recent graduates and early-career professionals looking to build their expertise in electrical system design, industrial power distribution, control systems, equipment installation, and project execution. The selected candidate will support engineering projects from concept through commissioning, assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations across manufacturing and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support electrical systems for manufacturing and industrial facilities.
  • Prepare and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Assist with the selection and specification of electrical equipment, motors, drives, transformers, MCCs, and control panels.
  • Support installation, commissioning, startup, and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Perform electrical calculations, load analysis, cable sizing, and power distribution studies.
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment, control systems, and power distribution issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with Controls, Automation, Mechanical, Maintenance, and Production teams during project execution.
  • Assist in developing engineering documentation, technical reports, operating procedures, and maintenance documentation.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.
  • Support preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, IEEE, and company engineering standards.
  • Participate in root cause investigations, corrective actions, and engineering change management.
  • Support vendors and contractors during equipment installation and project execution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and engineering records.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0–3 years

of experience in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of electrical power systems, industrial controls, and electrical design principles.
  • Knowledge of electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards, including NEC and NFPA.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer or project sites if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with

AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical

.

  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems.
  • Basic knowledge of power distribution systems, motors, transformers, switchgear, and instrumentation.
  • Exposure to electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, power analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols and control systems.
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, utilities, life sciences, automotive, or industrial automation is preferred.
