Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Top Helper to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting Journeyman Electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and residential settings. This is a role for someone who has moved beyond the "apprentice" stage and can perform many tasks independently while maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduit \& Raceways: Measuring, cutting, bending (using hand and mechanical benders), and installing EMT, PVC, and Rigid conduit.
• Wiring \& Cabling: Pulling wire through conduit and MC cable; performing terminations in panels, junction boxes, and switchgear.
• Device Installation: Installing and connecting lights, switches, receptacles, and various electrical fixtures.
• Blueprint Reading: Reading and interpreting basic electrical schematics, floor plans, and circuit diagrams.
• Troubleshooting: Assisting in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits using voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Job Site Prep: Organizing tools and materials, ensuring the work area is clean, and maintaining an inventory of necessary supplies.

Requirements \& Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in the electrical trade.
• Tools: Must possess a complete set of basic hand tools (wire strippers, side cutters, screwdrivers, level, tape measure, etc.).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in bending $90^\circ$ bends, offsets, and saddles. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces or at heights.
• Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow complex instructions with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
• Experience with specialized systems (Fire Alarm, Low Voltage, or Motor Controls).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
