Job Description

Electrician

SKC / ClearPath Construction

Nashville, Franklin, and surround areas (Middle Tennessee)

Full-Time $25–$40\+/hour, based on demonstrated skill

The work nobody sees has to be the work you’re proudest of.

An Electrician at SKC \+ ClearPath wires the homes our clients trust with their families — new custom builds and renovations of the homes they already live in. Behind every clean elevation and finished room is your work: safe, to code, and built to outlast the drywall that covers it. You’ll work across Middle Tennessee alongside a crew that takes real pride in doing it right the first time.

We’re looking for a

seasoned veteran of the trade

— someone who has already mastered residential electrical and doesn’t need technical training. We’ll teach you our systems and our standards; we won’t be teaching you the trade. A Tennessee electrician’s license is a real plus, but it’s not a requirement. Mastery is.

What You’ll Build

New construction:

  • Rough-in complete homes — service entries, panels, home runs, and branch circuits, laid out clean and pulled right
  • Trim out — devices, fixtures, fans, and appliance connections that finish square, level, and working
  • Set and wire panels — balanced, labeled, and neat enough to be proud of when the cover comes off
  • Install exterior electrical — outdoor lighting, receptacles, and equipment connections

Home renovation:

  • Rewire and extend circuits in finished, occupied homes — fishing wire without wrecking finishes
  • Upgrade panels and services — bringing older homes up to today’s loads and today’s code
  • Troubleshoot legacy wiring — diagnose what decades of previous work left behind, and make it safe
  • Tie new work into old — additions, kitchen and bath remodels, and whole-home renovations that meet code at the seam

What We Expect

  • Deliver inspection-ready work.

Rough-in and final work that passes the first time — no correction lists, no re-walks.

  • Read the plans.

Work from drawings, panel schedules, and fixture schedules, and pull accurate material lists.

  • Keep the job moving.

Hit your scope schedule and hand off ready for insulation, drywall, or final.

  • Protect the work.

Guard finished surfaces — especially in occupied homes — and leave the site clean every day.

  • Flag problems early.

Undersized services, code conflicts, surprises behind the drywall — raise them before they cost days.

  • Represent The Team.

Homeowners and inspectors judge the company by who shows up. Show up right.

What You Bring

  • Serious residential electrical experience — new construction and renovation. You’ve mastered the trade; we won’t be training you on the technical side.
  • Code fluency — you know the NEC and local requirements well enough to build to them without looking everything up.
  • Real troubleshooting skill — you can diagnose a problem in a 40-year-old house and fix it right, not just make it work.
  • Reliable transportation to jobsites in Lebanon, Franklin, and surrounding Middle Tennessee. Don’t sweat the tools — we provide everything you need, hand tools to power tools.
  • The physical side of the trade — attics, crawl spaces, ladders, and full days on your feet, inside and out.
  • Reliability. On time, every day, ready to work.

Nice to have:

  • Tennessee electrician’s license — a real plus we’ll help you build on, not a requirement
  • Low-voltage, smart-home, or structured wiring experience
  • Generator, EV charger, or specialty equipment installs
  • Experience leading an electrical scope or small crew

Pay \& Skill Progression

We pay for demonstrated skill, not years on a resume. Your rate is set by what you can consistently deliver — and it moves up as your work does. Hourly rates as well overtime (when available), health care options, paid time off, as well as a matching retirement plan.

How We Measure Performance

Your work is reviewed with your Field Manager against five Key Result Areas — and sustained performance at the next level’s standard is what earns rate increases:

  • Code Compliance \& Quality:

work that passes rough-in and final inspections the first time and holds up for the life of the home

  • Production \& Schedule:

scopes finished on schedule and handed off truly ready for the next trade or inspection

  • Material \& Tool Stewardship:

accurate pulls, minimal waste, tools ready every morning

  • Jobsite Standards \& Safety:

safe electrical work and a clean site with finished surfaces protected — every day

  • Communication \& Team Mentality:

problems flagged early, daily updates, and professionalism with clients, team members, trades, and inspectors
