Senior Manager, Employee Relations
About the Opportunity
Oakleaf Partnership is supporting a well-established financial services organization in the search for an Employee Legal Relations Lead.
This is a critical role responsible for overseeing employee relations, workforce compliance, and people-related risk across a regulated environment. The successful candidate will partner closely with HR leadership, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to ensure consistent, fair, and compliant people practices.
This position is ideal for an experienced ER professional who brings strong judgment, confidence navigating complex matters, and experience within financial or professional services.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Lead complex employee relations matters, investigations, and disciplinary processes
- Develop and maintain ER policies, procedures, and documentation
- Advise managers and employees on ER-related issues
Compliance \& Risk
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, immigration requirements, and internal policies
- Conduct audits and workforce compliance reviews
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement policy updates
Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with HR, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams on people-related risk matters
- Draft key documentation including handbooks, mobility letters, and immigration materials
Reporting \& Insights
- Track ER trends, compliance metrics, and emerging risks
Ideal Profile
- 7\+ years of experience in employee relations and HR compliance
- Strong background within financial services or Legal enviornment
- Deep knowledge of labor law, immigration, and compliance standards
- Confident handling investigations and sensitive matters
- Strong communication, judgment, and stakeholder-management skills
