Technical Director – Innovation Engineering

This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys driving innovation, building teams, and solving complex automation challenges. The company is focused on developing simpler, more robotics-driven equipment that helps customers improve efficiency, reduce labor dependency, and make equipment easier to operate and maintain.

In this position, you’ll lead the Innovation Engineering Group and help guide the transition from traditional mechanical equipment to robotics-enabled systems. You’ll manage the innovation funnel, turn customer-driven ideas into commercial solutions, evaluate new technologies, and work closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and executive leadership to move new equipment concepts from idea through commercialization.

Background

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• 10\+ years of engineering experience with robotics, automation, advanced machinery, or automated equipment
• Experience leading technical teams or cross-functional engineering projects
• Strong working knowledge of robotics, motion systems, sensors, controls, and system integration
• Hands-on problem solver who can take ideas from concept through testing, customer feedback, and commercialization
