Job Description:
MSI Consulting is seeking an Executive Consultant with 5\+ years of experience to provide direct support to a large Federal Agency’s Office of the Administrator for projects related to strategy design, analytics, program improvement, process automation, strategic communications, and project management. This unique and incredibly impactful position requires daily on-site presence in Washington, DC, and the ability to collaborate 1:1 with senior executive stakeholders to drive important agency-wide initiatives to completion.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently, successfully adapt to high-pressure environments, and an extreme customer service orientation. MSI has been supporting this client for over 5 years, and we are a true trusted advisor and collaborator. The ability to do outstanding work while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor is an absolute must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate daily with a group of Federal executives to understand their requirements and work independently to pursue cross-agency completion.
- Design strategies, approaches, and methodologies for client approval.
- Draft talking points, briefing papers, decision memos, and other executive communications.
- Plan and facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements; capture outcomes and track follow-up actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve client operations, processes, and performance through thoughtful analysis and problem solving.
- There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position, as the focus is on fully engaging with and meeting Federal executives’ needs. You may be asked to mentor some junior team members in the completion of aligned activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public policy, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of
5 years of professional experience
in consulting, government, business operations, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare materials for senior leaders.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace tools, particularly Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Calendar and Gmail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting government or public sector clients; or experience in private sector consulting roles.
- A master’s degree in business, economics, public policy, engineering, or a related field.
