Job Description

HOCS Projects is growing, and we are looking for motivated

Expeditors / Buyers (Junior \& Intermediate)

to join our Calgary team.

At HOCS Projects, you will play a key role in ensuring materials, equipment, and documentation are delivered accurately and on schedule.

▪ Junior (0–4 years)

▪ Intermediate (5–10 years)

🔧 What You Will Do

▪ Create and issue purchase orders based on project and operational requirements

▪ Source materials, equipment, and services from approved suppliers and obtain quotations

▪ Support evaluation of pricing, lead times, and commercial terms

▪ Track and monitor purchase orders from issuance through delivery

▪ Follow up with suppliers to confirm production status, shipping dates, and documentation

▪ Coordinate with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams

▪ Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and delivery milestones

▪ Identify potential delivery risks and support resolution of issues with suppliers

▪ Ensure all required documentation (packing lists, certificates, invoices) is complete and accurate

▪ Provide regular updates to procurement, project, and operations teams

▪ Support resolution of non-conformances, shortages, and delivery discrepancies

🎯 What We Are Looking For

  • Junior: 0–4 years of experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain, or related field
  • Intermediate: 5–10 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary education in supply chain, business, or related field considered an asset
  • SCMP designation or enrollment considered an asset
  • Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain principles
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) is an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
