The Opportunity

We seek an experienced contract attorney to support our commercial litigation and transactional practice through sophisticated legal drafting and analysis.

This is primarily a substantive legal production role, rather than a client-facing or business development position. Working from strategic direction provided by firm leadership, the attorney will be responsible for producing polished, substantially final work product, exercising independent judgment, and completing assignments efficiently and within agreed deadlines.

This opportunity is particularly well suited to an experienced attorney who enjoys sophisticated legal work and seeks a flexible, part-time arrangement.

Responsibilities:

· Draft, review, and revise commercial contracts and other business agreements.

· Prepare commercial litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery papers.

· Conduct targeted legal research and analysis, identifying relevant issues and potential risks.

· Translate strategic direction into accurate, well-organized legal documents requiring minimal substantive revision.

· Manage assignments independently, meet agreed deadlines, and communicate proactively regarding progress, questions, or potential delays.

Requirements:

· J.D. and admission to practice in New York

· Flexibility on ability work between 10-20 hours per week based on firm demand

· 4\+ years of experience practicing commercial litigation, corporate/transactional law, or both, with substantial experience drafting sophisticated legal documents

· Sound professional judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and a practical, business-oriented approach.

· Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and produce high-quality work with limited supervision.

· Strong organizational skills, responsiveness, and reliable communication in a remote working environment.

Bonus Experience:

· NJ Bar license

· Prior experience at a major law firm or sophisticated regional or boutique firm is preferred.

· Experience in both litigation and transactional matters is a plus but not required.

Work Arrangement:

This is a flexible, part-time, hourly engagement, with assignments based on the firm's needs. Hours may vary from week to week and are not guaranteed. The position is remote, with the opportunity for an ongoing relationship.
